What Skills will students develop in

Level I (6th grade)?


This is an introductory course introducing students to basic French grammar and vocabulary, and the history of France.They will also have many opportunities to interact in the French language with the teacher and fellow students. Successful students will be able to engage in basic conversations. Students will also be exposed to various cultural aspects of the Francophone World.

What skills will students develop in Level III (8th grade)?

 




“The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding 

and respect” (IBO.org). 


The three year MYP French course is designed to help our students reach these goals through inquiries into the French language and culture, and to continue their MYP French studies at Columbia High School (IB).

WHAT SKILLS WILL STUDENTS DEVELOP IN

This course builds on skills students acquired in 6th and 7th  grade French. Further skill development includes basic French grammar and vocabulary. They will also have many opportunities to interact in the French language with the teacher and fellow students.
